Meet the Team
The Jewels Benefits, Inc. team has more than 30 years of combined experience in the insurance industry. We bring an extensive service background to all that we do and we take pride in providing clients with a reliable and knowledgeable resource to help them through the challenges of dealing with insurance and insurance carriers.
Julie Ann
President
Julie Ann brings a variety of experience to her position as the President of Jewels Benefits, Inc. Previously, she held both Sales and Account Management positions with insurance agencies in No. NV and No. CA. Prior to that, she held an Account Management position with a major insurance company in No. CA and a Human Resources / Benefits Management position with a large employer in No. CA.
In addition to running Jewels Benefits, Inc. Julie Ann currently serves as the Professional Development Chair for Northern Nevada Association of Health Underwriters (NNAHU) and she serves on the Board for United Cerebral Palsy of Nevada (UCP). In her spare time, Julie Ann enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, reading, camping and traveling.
Kristi Hughes
Account Manager
Kristi joined Jewels Benefits, Inc. in March, 2004. Prior to joining the Jewels Benefits team, she worked as an Assistant Property Manager for a vacation / timeshare company based out of Millersville, MD. She has spent the majority of her working career in the Customer Service field which she has enjoyed. “I knew when I grew up I was going to help people in one capacity or another. And because of that reason, I dedicate myself in providing the best customer service experience as possible.” She was born and raised in Northern Nevada and is a parent to a rambunctious, spirited, amazing little girl. In her spare time, Kristi provides the transportation to all her daughter’s many extra-curricular activities, she loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, sing, dance, camp and a plethora of other activities.
